Social Responsibility Project from the Banking and Insurance Program
The Banking and Insurance Program of Hitit University Vocational School of Social Sciences continues to develop its students not only professionally but also in social awareness through its applied courses and social responsibility-oriented activities. In this context, one of the program’s students, Salim Samet GÖZÜBÜYÜK, carried out a meaningful social responsibility project.
The event, organized under the leadership of the “Sustainability, Social Responsibility and Professional Ethics” Student Club and within the scope of the course of the same name, was held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, as part of the “Respect for the Elderly Week” in cooperation with the Çorum Nursing Home.
During the event, students from the Banking and Insurance Program came together with the residents of the nursing home, listened to their life experiences, and created a warm, sincere atmosphere of communication. Through this meaningful gathering, elderly individuals felt valued and remembered, while students gained important insights through life stories spanning from the past to the present.
Accompanied by refreshments and music, the event featured songs sung together and traditional folk dances (halay), allowing participants to enjoy pleasant moments. Strengthening intergenerational interaction, this meaningful organization became an unforgettable experience for all participants.
The Banking and Insurance Program at Hitit University continues to support activities that help students develop a strong sense of social responsibility.
